At The JR Foundation, we are more than a nonprofit—we are a movement of hope, awareness, and action. Founded in memory of Christopher Lee Kraft Jr., our mission is to turn loss into lasting impact by raising epilepsy awareness, funding research, and supporting families affected by this condition. Epilepsy affects over 500,000 Floridians and 3.4 million Americans—yet it remains misunderstood, underfunded, and often overlooked. The JR Foundation is committed to changing this through fundraising, education, and community outreach. We work to ensure that no family faces epilepsy alone.

Our Mission

We exist to empower, support, and inspire those impacted by epilepsy.
✅ Increase Awareness – Educate communities about epilepsy, seizure first aid, and the importance of early diagnosis. ✅ Fund Research – Support scientific advancements that lead to better treatments and, ultimately, a cure. ✅ Provide Support – Offer scholarships, financial aid, and resources to families navigating epilepsy. ✅ Honor Christopher’s Legacy – Turn grief into action by making epilepsy a widely recognized cause that receives the attention and funding it deserves. Through fundraisers, community events, and advocacy we are changing lives and ensuring that no one faces epilepsy alone.

Our Story: Honoring Christopher Lee Kraft Jr.

The JR Foundation was born from tragedy but fueled by love.
Christopher Lee Kraft Jr. was a vibrant, kindhearted, and ambitious individual. He grew up with a passion for cars, family, and bringing people together. A proud graduate of Florida State University School and the National Automobile Dealers Association, he was preparing to follow in his father’s footsteps in the automotive industry. Chris Jr. had a gift for making people feel like family—his laughter, kindness, and energy were contagious. In February 2022, Chris Jr. unexpectedly passed away due to an epileptic seizure. His family and loved ones were devastated, but they knew his story couldn’t end there. They turned their grief into action, founding The JR Foundation to raise epilepsy awareness and ensure that no other family would suffer such a loss without hope for change.
